Emergency numbers in Bremen and Oldenburg severely affected

The emergency numbers 110 and 112 are severely impaired in the city of Bremen.

This was reported by the situation center in Bremen as an official danger report on Thursday afternoon.

"If you need help and are unsuccessful on the emergency numbers, dial 0421 19222," it said.

The guards of the professional and voluntary fire brigade are occupied and can accept requests for help.

Bremen – By the evening, the fire brigade had set up more than 40 contact points for those seeking help in the city area.

The technology of the control center is in order, said the fire department spokesman.

Apparently there are problems with cell phone providers.

The emergency call would work with some cell phones, but not with others.

Deutsche Telekom made it clear that its network was working without any problems.

The district of Oldenburg also reported "large-scale and nationwide disruptions to mobile phone networks and the Internet".

This also applies to the emergency call 112 and patient transport on 0441 19222. Emergency calls should primarily be made via the fixed network, the authority said.
