The Lebanese Ministry of Health recorded two new infections and one death from the cholera epidemic during the past 24 hours.
The ministry stated in a report published today that the cumulative number of cholera infections in the country has so far reached 569, while the cumulative number of deaths due to the epidemic has risen to 20.
According to international figures, the cholera epidemic affects between 1.3 million and 4 million people annually in the world, and leads to the death of between 21 thousand and 143 thousand people.
