The former PS deputy of the twentieth Lamia El Aaraje is now part of the Parisian executive.
The Council of Paris appointed her Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of universal accessibility and people with disabilities.
She replaces Jacques Galvani who had resigned in June.
She was elected deputy on Thursday, like her colleague Jacques Martial – in charge of overseas, with 76 votes and 16 blank ballots out of 163 registered – the municipal opposition having chosen not to participate in the vote.
