A man and a woman of Ukrainian nationality were indicted for "capturing a
pornographic image of a minor
"
and
"incestuous sexual assault"
on Friday in Brest, AFP learned from the prosecution, which requested their placement in pre-trial detention.
Aged 35 and 53 respectively, they were arrested and placed in police custody by the Brest police station on Thursday.
The facts were allegedly committed
"to the detriment of a 7-year-old Ukrainian child supposed to be the couple's child"
, said the public prosecutor Camille Miansoni in a press release.

According to the prosecutor, an investigation was opened by the prosecution following the report of a hospital
“following the discovery of child pornography photographs representing the minor, by the nursing staff on a telephone”.
This couple was accused
of "acts of capture with a view to its dissemination of a pornographic image of a minor, possession of the image of a minor presenting a pornographic nature"
also acts
of "incestuous sexual assault"
and of
“non-denunciation of ill-treatment inflicted on a minor”.
At the end of their police custody, a judicial investigation was opened on Friday.

Referred to the Brest public prosecutor's office, the two persons implicated were indicted on the counts of "capture with a view to its dissemination of a pornographic image of a minor", "possession of the image of a minor presenting a pornographic”, and “corruption of a minor under 15”.
The facts would have been committed in Brest and throughout the national territory.
The woman is also indicted for "incestuous sexual assault on a minor by a major ascendant", the man for "non-denunciation of ill-treatment, deprivation, sexual assault or abuse inflicted on a 15-year-old minor".
The prosecution requested their placement in pre-trial detention.
