IDF forces today (Friday) thwarted the smuggling of drugs worth approximately 1,080,000 shekels from Egypt to Israeli territory. This is the second seizure in the last day. The drugs were handed over to the Israel Police.
The incident began when IDF surveillance identified a number of suspects trying to smuggle the drugs in the area of the Paran regional division. IDF soldiers were rushed to the scene, thwarted the smuggling and seized a bag containing about 27 kg of drugs.

Earlier today, IDF fighters thwarted the smuggling of 20 kg of drugs worth approximately NIS 800,000.
The drugs were handed over to the Israel Police.
