According to reports in the IRNA news agency, Nader Birami, a senior member of the intelligence apparatus of the Revolutionary Guards, was murdered during demonstrations in the city of Sahana • His rank is equivalent to a colonel

The IRNA news agency reported today (Friday) on the death during the demonstrations of a senior member of the intelligence mechanisms of the Revolutionary Guards in the city of Sahna in the Kermansha district in western Iran.

According to the report, it is an officer of the same rank as a colonel named Nader Birami who was killed by protesters.

In the Iranian media, the participants in the riots were described as "terrorists".

Following this, the pro-Iranian al-Mayadeen network reported that those involved in the killing of the top intelligence officer of the Revolutionary Guards were arrested immediately.

Earlier, angry protesters in the town of Khomeini set fire to the home of the founder of the Islamic Revolution and the first Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

Hundreds of protesters stormed the building, which is now used as a museum, in a town that has been a bastion of support for the regime in recent decades, evidence that the protest against the regime, which began due to the growing religious repression in the country, is gradually moving to the regime's power centers as well.

In recent days, the protests in the country have increased and the regime has increased the acts of cruelty towards the protesters, which include shooting with live fire and torture.

Hundreds of thousands have participated in a nationwide strike since Tuesday and the Iranian economy has been significantly damaged.

In the town of Bukan in western Iran, protesters took over government buildings and the regime was forced to withdraw from the town.

This is the first time that demonstrators attempt to take control of an entire settlement and expel from it, at least temporarily, the police and Basij forces.

For more than a month now, Iranians have been taking to the streets in protest of the regime's strict rules.

The demonstrations broke out following the tragic death of Mehsa Amini, a young woman who arrived in Tehran and was arrested by the modesty police.

She was later found by her relatives at the local hospital suffering from severe injuries.

Eventually her condition deteriorated and the doctors had to pronounce her dead.
