Dietramszell - Next round at the school renovation marathon in Dietramszell.

In the most recent municipal council meeting, the vote for the next planning phase was 17:0.

The municipal council is unanimous: the renovation work on the elementary and middle school in Dietramszell should continue in the spring of 2023.

In the most recent meeting, the renovation proposal by the Zach architects' office was examined.

It was unanimously decided to let Zach draft the bidding plan.

The specifications will be presented at the next meeting

The building specification will be presented at the next meeting so that further action can be taken.

The energy renovation of the school in the town center has been an issue since 2013.

Almost ten years later, with the B and C buildings already renovated, the time has come: “The L-shaped D building definitely needs to be renovated as well,” explains Mayor Josef Hauser when asked.

The condition of the building makes it necessary because it rains into the classrooms.

Due to the nature of the building, a lot of heat is lost, which is anything but energetically efficient, he explained the rapid progress.

So far, the government has left the municipality alone with a deficit of 1.74 million euros, because initially the state promised 2.74 million euros for the necessary renovation work, 1.2 million euros have been paid out so far.

However, since the work has to be carried out promptly, the municipality feels compelled to finance the shortfall with a loan and withdrawals from reserves.
