In "Helsingin Snowmat" they realized that the authorities in Doha expelled foreign workers from the house where the reporters were supposed to stay.

It's not just sports:

the biggest newspaper in Finland has decided not to send its commentators and reporters to the World Cup.

The reason: the newspaper discovered that Qatar expelled foreign workers from Africa and Asia from the house where the Finnish journalists were supposed to stay.

Arki Kilmanen, head of the sports section of Helsingin Snowmat, told Reuters that he debated for a long time whether to send the journalists "because of restrictions on the media in Qatar", but decided only recently after it was discovered that Qatar had thrown out thousands of foreign workers from apartments in the Al-Sad and Al- Sawmill to make room for journalists and tourists.

"It is not a logical situation if we go there to report critically, and at the same time sleep in beds in a place from where other people were thrown for us," said Kilmanen, who was supposed to head the delegation.

This will be the first time in decades that the newspaper will report on the huge tournament from afar.

Kilmanen added that the risk of whitewashing Qatar's image through sports was too great.

"This kind of games should never be organized again," he said.

This is what the City of London and the Luxembourg cities also decided.

Whereas in the German Bundesliga, fans competed in the size of signs calling for a boycott of the World Cup in Qatar.

The increase to make the Australian soccer team, which will play in group D in the World Cup.
