The senior rabbi said that "there is no problem with the state of Halacha", and he was followed by reactions from those who even before his statement were afraid of such a scenario • MK Gilad Karib: "There is a very big problem with this vision and with the steps to realize it" •

The stormy network following the interview that Rabbi Haim Druckman gave today (Friday) to "Israel Hayom", in which he said that "there is no problem with the Halacha state".

Regarding secular citizens' concerns about the results of the elections, the rabbi said: "Nobody is talking about individual lives. How will people's rights be harmed? I don't understand what the problem is. We are talking about a Jewish state. Why aren't we talking about marriages and divorces that will be void? Maybe we are talking about that too ".

Knesset member from the Labor party, Gilad Karib, wrote on his Twitter account: "Rabbi Druckman has no problem with the Halacha state. But most of the Jews in Israel who love the tradition but do not live according to the Halacha have a very big problem with this vision and the steps to realize it. When talking about the passage The increase and the change in the method of appointing judges, we must not think about Netanyahu's trials. We must think about Rabbi Druckman's vision."

One should think about Rabbi Druckman's vision.

The Hadosh organization responded to Rabbi Druckman's interview: "Rabbi Druckman and his ultra-Orthodox colleagues think that the election results prove that the people want it too.

He and they are wrong and misleading.

A large majority of the people want a Jewish state that is not a Halacha state, but one that implements the Declaration of Independence's promise of freedom of religion and conscience.

Hadosh polls clearly show that there is also a majority that supports the separation of religion and state."

Also in the interview, Rabbi Druckman was asked that some claim that Netanyahu does not want Smotrich to be the Minister of Defense, so as not to give him significant power in Judea and Samaria, to which the Rabbi replied: "I expect that they will allow Jews to settle wherever possible, and certainly exercise sovereignty. Settlement is an increased matter, And it cannot be that there are places in the Land of Israel that are different from other places. This land is the Land of Israel, and in the Land of Israel Jews can settle anywhere."

Regarding matters of conversion, Rabbi Druckman said: "I support that there should be only proper conversion. With all due respect, unfortunately in Diaspora Judaism there is an unprecedented assimilation. I don't know what will happen if this continues, what will be left of Diaspora Judaism. What can be done about the anger? Can we tell them The majority says otherwise."
