Talent Hamza Nasr was able to record his presence strongly in the game of chess, as he won the bronze of the Arab Championship for the age groups under 12 years, which was recently hosted by the Damascus Countryside Governorate, and which was held with the participation of six countries in addition to Syria.
Hamza said in a statement to SANA: “He started practicing chess at the age of five with coach Louay Khadr, for several years, until coach Hamad Al-Saad, as they were credited with what they gave him to hone his talent,” indicating how he achieved the governorate and republic championships more than once. For winning the bronze medal in the Arab Championship after achieving seven victories in it.
Hamza stated that he liked this game because it stimulates his mind to work and be active, as well as helps him focus and enhance his self-confidence, and it reflects positively on his educational attainment, especially because he is one of the outstanding students in his school.
Hamza continued: He undergoes daily training under the supervision of his coach, Hamad Al-Saad, in order to develop his level, achieve his ambition to reach the world championships, and leave a mark in the field of this sport.
According to Hamza Malik Nasr's father, he gave all the attention to his son after discovering his talent, especially since the game of chess attracted his attention from a young age, and in the first year of his practice he was able to win the governorate championship for young age groups.
A member of the Chess Federation, coach Hamad Al-Saad, explained that Hamza is an ambitious and quick-witted player, possesses tactical skills, and is committed to his training. He also proved himself in adult tournaments as well, and crowned his excellence by winning the bronze of the Arab Championship for the current year, and he also won the title of an international chess master candidate.
The Chairman of the Technical Committee for Chess in Suweida, Eng. Refaat Khader, indicated that Hamza possesses the characteristics of a player who can develop rapidly, and his talent began to appear with school tournaments and the Pioneers Pioneers competition by obtaining the first positions, and he worked hard to develop his playing style in every way, and his results yielded this year, expecting him to have a future on The Arab and Asian levels, especially with the interest in it from the technical and executive committees of the game and the branch of the Sports Federation and the Chess Federation.
