A retiree from Delaware hit the jackpot: she drew two winning tickets in one day.
Even the lottery couldn't believe it.
Delaware - A player from the city of Newark, Delaware, had double luck in the lottery: She won two lottery prizes in one day.
At the end of the day, the 70-year-old pensioner came home with 400,000 euros - and secured her pension twice over.

A 70-year-old retiree from Delaware hit the jackpot when she won the grand prize of $100,000 with her ticket.

As the newspaper reports, a week later she and her best friend made their way to the lottery headquarters to pick up their prize.
To celebrate the day, the winner bought another lottery ticket.
The surprise came on the way home: the lady had already won again.

It was "absolute madness", the winner's girlfriend commented on the moment.
This time it was even a $300,000 win.
"When I scratched the $300,000 Serious Money ticket later that day, we just sat there in disbelief.
It was absolutely amazing," the Mirror
quoted
the winner as saying.
The lady probably had an absolutely lucky day - or the right zodiac sign.
It was also a special day for the lottery, on which it was able to make a winner happy twice.
The director of the lottery congratulated the pensioner and spoke of a unique case.
The 70-year-old will probably not forget the day on which she won two lots.
A steel worker from Dortmund also had a really lucky day: he won the jackpot of 10 million euros - and quit his job.
The highest ever lottery win was won by a man in England: he won £185 million.
