The Ministry of Culture, the “Syrian General Authority for Books,” announced the results of its literary awards for the year 2022, which include Hanna Mina for the novel, Sami Al-Droubi for translation, Omar Abu Risha for poetry, and the Short Story Award for Children.
The first place in the Hanna Mina Award for the novel was won by Suzan Al-Sabi, the second place was Enas Al-Oqla, and the third place was Nizar Mazhar.
In the Sami Al-Droubi Award for Translation, Rana Zakka won the first place, Hamed Al-Abd in the second place, and Haidara Asaad in the third place.
As for the Omar Abu Risha Prize for Poetry, the first place was won by Shadi Hamoudi, the second by Raeda Al-Khudari, and the third by Fatima Fajr.
In the field of the short story award directed to children, Alaa Diab won the first place, the second was Julnar Salima, and the third was Hind Mustafa.
The winners will be honored in a ceremony that will be held within the event (Days of the Ministry of Culture) next Thursday in the main lecture hall of the Al-Assad National Library in Damascus.
