The Arab Socialist Baath Party in Lebanon held a celebration on the occasion of the fifty-second anniversary of the glorious Corrective Movement in the Resalat Theater in the capital, Beirut, in which representatives of the Lebanese and Palestinian national forces and parties, civil associations, and activists from Beirut and the Lebanese regions participated.
Syria's ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdel Karim, said: This memory concerns Syria, Lebanon and the entire nation. The corrective movement has dedicated a presence and role to Syria in the region and changed the setback, frustration and sense of loss into renewed confidence in oneself and the nation, and to achieve victory, one of the main characteristics of which was the October liberation war in 1973.
Abdul Karim stressed the depth of the brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, Syria and Lebanon, noting the renewal of the role of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in Lebanon and the renewal of the relationship between it and the national forces in Lebanon.
In his turn, the head of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, former minister, Asaad Hardan, praised in his speech the achievements of the glorious corrective movement, pointing out that celebrating its memory is a celebration of the achievements it made by establishing the pillars of stability in Syria and fortifying its security and safety through the modern urban renaissance.
Hardan pointed out that Syria, after the corrective movement, turned into a difficult figure at all levels and became in a position of national responsibility towards Palestine, so the decision was decisive to embrace the resistance and support it at all levels.
For his part, former Minister Abdul Rahim Murad affirmed that the memory of the corrective movement laid the foundations for political stability in Syria and marked the beginning of its modern rise and a home for true Arabism.
Murad said: The corrective movement headed for the internal construction in Syria and worked to restore it to its national position as the beating heart of the Arabs and the incubator of the Palestinian cause and support for the causes of Arab liberation.
In the speech of the Palestinian resistance factions, Ihsan Ataya said: Syria embraced the Palestinian resistance with all its factions and supported the Palestinian cause with all available capabilities, indicating that the corrective movement corrected the path towards the unity of the nation in order to overcome all adversities, obstacles and conspiracies.
Attaya pointed out that Syria was able today to overcome the trials and conspiracies and achieve the achievements we are witnessing today.
While the representative of Hezbollah, the former minister, Mahmoud Qamati, stressed the need to stop at the meaning and content of this occasion, which embodied the authentic Arab aspirations not to give up the constants, nationalism, Arabism, or Palestine, indicating that this era, which began with the corrective movement, put Palestine as the first issue, and the priority was in it for the resistance project. .
Qamati pointed out that the lifeblood of Lebanon and the lung through which it breathes is Syria, just as Syria is an inevitable national Arab necessity for Lebanon and its survival, and it is the warm embrace that embraced the Palestinian resistance with all its factions and the history of the resistance in all its colors.
In turn, the Secretary-General of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in Lebanon, Ali Hijazi, affirmed that the corrective movement built Syria with a strong economy, security and stability, and established it in its natural position as an essential supporter alongside all the resistance movements in the region.
