The Turkish Ministry of Defense confirmed today (Sunday) the beginning of a broad attack on Kurdish strongholds in northern Syria and northern Iraq, which led to dozens of deaths.

According to the announcement of the Turkish Ministry of Defense, 89 targets were attacked, including shelters and ammunition depots that were destroyed by the Air Force in the base of the Kurdish militias.

The attack focused on the mountains of Kendali, Assos and Khork in northern Iraq, and in Kobani, Tel Rifat, Jazira and Darik in northern Syria.

The Autonomous Administration of Northeast Syria claimed that the attack in Istanbul was just an excuse designed to justify the Turkish attacks.

The administration's announcement stated that the Turkish Air Force bombed targets indiscriminately - and the international community and Arab countries must fulfill their responsibilities and stop the "aggression and inhuman acts".
