Two men died in floods caused by heavy rains over the weekend in northwestern Albania, in the Shkodra region, police said in a statement on Sunday.
A car carrying a 50-year-old man, his 18-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter was "
washed away
" on a mountain road, the statement said.
The young girl was rescued by the local population but her brother and father were not found, according to the police.

," a police spokesman told AFP.
At least seven families were evacuated from their homes in the Shkodra region, about 140 kilometers north of Tirana, while many more were threatened by floods and landslides, according to a Defense Ministry statement. .
Several hundred hectares of land in the Shkodra and Lezha regions were flooded, with locals alarmed at a "
critical
" situation, with a large number of waterways overflowing and damaging homes and infrastructure.
