Several years ago, the relationship was renewed following a tour given by the head of the Samaria Council, Yossi Dagan, to the son of Abba Achimair, the journalist Jacob Achimair. At first, the son refused to enter the place, but after a conversation, he agreed to enter the observation deck and discovered a sign there that still bears his father's name, which made him happy very much and led to the renewal of the relationship. Now, after the 40th anniversary celebrations for the settlement, the council decided to correct a historical injustice, close a circle and name the main road that connects to the settlement: Derech Aba Achimair.
Recently, the family members of Aba Achimair came together with the leadership of the Yishuv and members of the Shomron Regional Council for a special ceremony where they removed the lot from the top of the sign that symbolizes the new road.
