It was the first joint appearance after the humiliating photo for the princess.

Monaco's Charlene and Albert II appeared together at the Autumn Nations Series international rugby friendly in Marseille.

But many waited in vain for a shared laugh.

Marseille – It was a great performance that the Monegasque princely couple put on at the gala evening of the Princess Grace Foundation USA in New York.

But then the shock: Prince Albert (64) secretly used the visit to meet his illegitimate children.

Constant enemy and ex-lover of Prince Nicole Coste (50) published a picture of the cheerful threesome in a New York café and snubbed Charlene of Monaco (44) in front of everyone.

A frosty atmosphere in the stands: Charlène and Albert of Monaco give each other the cold shoulder

Now the royal couple are once again side by side in the stands for the Autumn Nations Series international rugby test match between France and South Africa at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, France.

But there is no trace of unity.

Charlène laughed, Albert looked grim.

If he looked more forgiving, Charlène looked into the distance or typed around on her mobile phone.

There is an ice age between the couple.

As the game progressed, the royal couple relaxed.

Both burned for the spirit of the teams and cheered on the players.

There was even that moment when the two finally looked into each other's faces and a faint smile erupted.

Nevertheless: Charlène and the son Grace Kellys (52, † 1982) and Prince Rainiers (81, † 2005) did not look really happy again.

Presumably, the joint photo of the princely father with his two illegitimate children Jazmin Grace Grimaldi (30) and Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste (19) – Albert acknowledged both late, but at least – had an unpleasant aftermath.

Charlene in interviews

, Charlène positioned herself clearly, as always: “I went through a very difficult time.

But I was fortunate to have the support and love of my husband, my children and my family, from whom I draw all my strength.”

It just doesn't calm down, even when the twins Jacques and Gabriella (both 7 years old) are with them.

From the day of the wedding on July 1, 2011, on which Charlène bursts into tears in an unexplained manner, well documented in pictures and videos, to her illness, there is always a fuss about the spouses.

After an apparently severe ENT infection, the mother of the country returned to the rocky state after almost a year, marked and emaciated.

This is also the reason why the rumor mill about the couple never stops.

Whether the rumors are to be found in the turbulent history of the prince from his playboy days, in the family curse, which is said to affect the entire Grimaldi family, or in completely different circumstances, remains a constant source of speculation.
