Nine people were killed when a car they were traveling in fell into a dam in Kano state, northern Nigeria.
Xinhua quoted Samino Abdullah, a spokesman for the fire department in Kano state, as saying in a statement today: “A car carrying 12 passengers collapsed and fell into the Fada Dam in the Gwarzo region, after its driver lost control of it after one of its tires exploded, killing nine. People were confirmed dead later after being transferred to the hospital, while three others were rescued.
