The Narrhalla Walls has a royal couple again: Laura Oberprieler and Johannes Sedlmeier are at the head of the carnival stronghold this season.

– When the curtain rose, no questions remained unanswered: At the presentation of the Mauern princely couple on Saturday in the Alter Wirt, one had to go to the chosen ones Laura Oberprieler (Laura I. from Tanz und Reisetraum) and Johannes Sedlmeier (Johannes X. from Sport and technology) actually say nothing more.

The royal couple is well known in town.

26-year-old Laura Oberprieler comes from Mauern, and above all she comes from an extremely foolish family.

The mother was already a member of the Guard and the father made it to the top of the carnival career ladder – as councilor, court marshal and president.

"This is a great family for us," said the current president, Jakob Felsl.

Princess Laura had already started in the Narrhalla children's guard and in recent years was lady-in-waiting and trainer of Elferrat or youth groups.

Johannes Sedlmeier is 30 years old and also a Mauerner.

It was once smeared on his bread that his two cousins ​​were prince and president respectively.

This also makes it clear to the regent of the coming carnival season what should follow after the throne of the prince.

Johannes, the tenth, has been in the Narrhalla since 2012 and looks at the Elferrat, Senator and Presidium stations.

He is responsible for the digital appearances of Narrhalla.

In the neighboring carnival strongholds of Mauern and Gammelsdorf, it is a good custom for the people to shout so loudly that the announcement of the royal couple can also be heard acoustically in the neighborhood.

The Mauerner won the competition on Saturday evening with an unbelievable atmosphere and noise level.

Before the performance of the prince couple, the two presidents Jakob Felsl and Lukas Spangenberg made fun of themselves.

They started out as overweight Corona victims with endless beer mats that had to be paid to the innkeeper.

But then along came the Narrhalla fitness coach, and thanks to a funny video, the audience saw presidents working out in the gym, who then came on stage young, dapper, dynamic and chic not to fall behind the eloquent royal couple.

The guests had a lot of fun with the skit.

Finally, Lukas Spangenberg took his hat off to the royal couple: "We chose them some time ago, and then they both stayed silent for a year and a half.
