It is a vast agricultural domain in the south-west of the Pink City that few inhabitants of Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) know.
Owned by the city since 1975, the agricultural estate of Candie, comprising on around thirty hectares a farm, a medieval castle and a dovecote, will experience an acceleration of its development in the coming years to enhance its agricultural production and feed more Toulouse people.
This project was voted unanimously on November 9 by the municipal council.
Today, the agricultural management of the only farm in France owned by a local authority already cultivates 250 ha, spread over the municipal territory, in vines, cereals and legumes.
