Bad Tölz

– For ten years, a special Advent event has been held in the Kurhaus under the leadership of spokesman Klaus Wittmann.

The date for the "Tölzer Advent" this year is Sunday, December 4th, at 4 p.m.

If you are now thinking of the "Tölzer Adventsingen" (Advent Singing), you are not wrong, because that was the name of the event for a few years when the singing and music school was still on board.

Because of numerous other projects there, the Advent event is now entirely in Wittmann's hands, hence the slightly different title - but the venue is the same.

Nothing has changed in the organization of the event either: With each new text, Wittmann wants to give visitors ideas to get in the mood for Christmas.

The word "Advent", derived from the Latin "adventus", means arrival and anticipation.

"It's a time to pause and reflect in view of the upcoming big event," says Wittmann.

Most of his texts this year come from the archive of Hedi Heres († 2010).

Wittmann is friends with the husband of the deceased, well-known radio and television presenter and is allowed to use texts from her archive.

Wittmann also contributes his own ideas.

Tölzer Advent with folk musicians

The Tölzer has once again invited well-known folk musicians to provide the musical accompaniment.

In addition to the Sunnseiten wind ensemble from Bad Tölz and Lenggries (with Michael Lindmair, Hubert Neumüller, Barbara Neumüller and Martin Lambertz), there is the Hamberger family song from Riedering, which is known for numerous television appearances.

The Vilsleit'nmusi from Bad Birnbach with Harti Pilsner (bandoneon, guitar), Sissi Pilsner (guitar, accordion) and Annamirl Siegerstetter (harp) will also be there.

Harti Pilsner's performance is something special, says Wittmann: "There are only a few bandoneon players in folk music." Other contributors are the "Perlseeer Dreigesang" and the "Perlseer Musi" from the Inn Valley and Chiemgau with Susanne Wiesner (violin). , Michaela Brückner (harp), Christina Meier (clarinet),

Ludwig Biegl (double bass) and Hans Wiesholzer (accordion).

Susanne Wiesner is well known to the listeners of "BR Heimat", where she moderates "Zsammg'spuit", among other things.
