The carpenters' guild met in Grünbach.

Wood crafts are experiencing a renaissance.

The guild has 47 trainees and many loyal members.

Grünbach – The carpenter's guild Erding let it rip on Saturday in Grünbach (municipality of Bockhorn): It was necessary to hold a guild meeting, the focus of which was the honoring of many colleagues, some of whom were really veterans (separate report follows).

In any case, head of the guild Anton Kolbinger not only organized a champagne reception and invited district master craftsman Rudi Waxenberger, but also organized music: "Knopf und Sait'n" played with Katharina Bauer (violin, Berglern), Andreas Biller (Ziach, Niederding) and Hans Huber ( Ziach, Wartenberg).

Kolbinger also welcomed district foreman Martin Vilgertshofer from Neufinsing.

Kolbinger promised that it would be a "short, crisp guild meeting" and he kept it.

"It was an exciting year," said the Obermeister.

It had been decided that it would not take part in the job fair.

It's not worth it.

There was a meeting at the vocational school, he reported.

The trainees would be trained in Munich.

"We need a joint examination," they said.

As far as the exams are concerned, you have agreed with the guilds.

"We're really lucky with our vocational school," he wanted to be clear about.

The excursion of the carpenters had been on the brink for a long time.

With Freising together you've got enough people together.

Various company visits were on the agenda.

The new apprentice supervisor is Clemenz Thalmeier from Dorfen.

"I've come in reasonably well now," he said.

18 trainees have been accommodated, and 47 new ones have been added to Freising in the basic vocational school year.

The trainees from the district usually already have a preliminary contract.

"We are very well positioned there." He reported that he would actively approach the schools.

"I liked being an apprentice supervisor," confessed the foreman.

"But Clemenz brings momentum again."

The craft ball is scheduled for February 11th.

"Please participate," is the appeal of the foreman.

A reception for craftsmen is also planned: it is to take place on March 12th.

There will also be a day trip, the foreman announced.

The guild has supporting members who pay a contribution of 150 euros.

This money should primarily benefit youth development.

"There are too few training companies," complained the foreman.

"We'll need the people.

We have to make sure that we train apprentices.

There are good ones there!”

Vilgertshofer was senior master for 16 years.

"We are a very strong brand," said the district foreman happily in his welcoming speech.

He had to confirm what the foreman had said regarding the trainees.

"It's going to be exciting," he said of the general situation.

"These material price increases cannot go on."

He said to the journeymen to be honored: "We are proud that we have this generation." 40 years is the working life that these people are in a company.

"We will no longer have these honors in the coming years." This is due to a changed attitude.

“In recent years it has become apparent that the craft that has to do with wood is experiencing a renaissance.

Being loyal to a company for 40 years is quite an achievement,” he said.
