With a voluntary initiative, a number of doctors with different specialties provide services to patients attending the comprehensive clinics complex in Daraa.
Regarding the details of this initiative, the head of the clinic complex, Dr. Abdullah Abu Mahmoud, explained in a statement to SANA reporter today that the eight doctors volunteered to provide examinations and examinations for patients in the specialties of ophthalmology, orthopedics, urinary, otolaryngology, general surgery, kidneys, blood and psychological throughout the week, according to a specific program, at a rate of two hours. To each doctor, indicating that this procedure aims to fill the shortage in the number of doctors contracting with the Health Directorate, and to provide basic services to patients.
He pointed out that work is underway to supplement the clinic complex with two additional doctors in the specializations of urology and ear-nose-throat, indicating that the complex has other services in the field of laboratory, radiology, diabetes, industrial kidney, thalassemia, natural childbirth, pharmacy and others, and it is provided free of charge throughout the week.
One of the volunteer doctors, Dr. Emad El-Din El-Masry, specializing in general surgery, said in a similar statement: He devotes himself to providing free services to patients on Mondays of every week, while dispensing free medicines from the clinic’s pharmacy according to availability, indicating that volunteering comes as a way to relieve patients, especially In light of the high costs of treatment.
