Probably nobody would like to be woken up by a rhinoceros.

Even if it runs completely peacefully through the village.

Do not wake sleeping dogs.

Everyone knows this phrase.

Dog fans know that the animals really don't like it when someone wakes them up.

Because they need their recovery and rest phases to stay healthy and fit.

Dogs shouldn't be petted while they're sleeping - even if that's well-intentioned, of course.

But this wakes up the sleeping four-legged friends all too easily.

And the rest is over for now.

Dogs need their sleep.

Dog is woken up by rhino and makes headlines

A dog in Nepal, which according to a report by

was woken up by a rhinoceros, is currently causing a lot of empathy and a few laughs among users worldwide.

The two-ton rhino was filmed approaching the dozing dog during a walk through a village in southern Nepal.

The video was also shared on the TikTok channel

, where it has been liked more than 800,000 times.

In the clip, the rhino appears to be carefully inspecting the dog.

But the sleeping dog is visibly surprised by the huge rhinoceros: the dog jumps up in a matter of seconds and runs away - while the hippopotamus keeps running, apparently bored.

Numerous users have commented on the video clip on TikTok under the motto "Imagine waking up to that😂😂😂" ("Imagine waking up with it😂😂😂"), including numerous expressions of sympathy for the dog.

No one likes to be woken up by a rhino.
