When she was supposed to be taken to a clinic, a woman from Holzkirchen fought back.

The matter now had a judicial sequel.

Holzkirchen

– A concerned father makes an emergency call.

Shortly before, his daughter had announced to him that she wanted to kill herself.

The paramedics who rushed to find the young woman in her apartment.

Physically safe, but drunk and confused.

This near-tragedy took place in Holzkirchen and now had an aftermath before the Miesbach district court.

The woman faced three counts of resisting law enforcement officials.

The accusation: When the rescue workers wanted to drive her to the clinic, the woman became verbally aggressive towards a police officer who had been summoned and tried to break free from the officer's security grip.

When she was about to be taken to the ambulance, she braced herself against it again.

In the end, however, it was possible to bring the woman from Holzkirchner to the psychiatric clinic.

Alcohol with medication triggers psychosis

That was also necessary, since the woman was in a desolate condition.

"She was an alcoholic and suffers from a bipolar affective disorder," explained her defense attorney Max-Josef Hösl in court.

His client only wanted to flee from being placed in the hospital and therefore tried to evade the measures taken by the emergency services.

In the hospital, the doctors had diagnosed depression and a manic disorder.

Likewise, a blood alcohol concentration of 2.13 per thousand.

The drugs against the disease, combined with alcohol, led to psychosis, the lawyer explained.

His client was therefore not in her right mind on the day of the crime: "She even thought that the people present were dolls."

The father also appeared as a witness.

Even before the day of the crime, he had repeatedly tried in vain to persuade his daughter to seek medical treatment, the man said.

The daughter vehemently refused.

"But she couldn't even assess the situation herself," added the father.

"She even asked me on the phone if it was me or if she was talking to a computer."

After the man dialed 911, he himself rushed to his daughter's home.

Paramedics and police officers wanted to take the woman to the hospital, "but she resisted," the witness recalled.

Then his daughter tried to get into the apartment, but an officer blocked her way.

The policeman (25) from back then also remembers that day well.

According to the 25-year-old, the woman's attempts to stop the measures taken by the emergency services were more of "passive resistance.

She didn't hit me, kick me, or insult me."

Today the woman wants to go through with her treatments

In the courtroom, the woman from Holzkirchner apologized to the official for her behavior.

The policeman wished her all the best and that she would get back on her feet soon.

Judge Walter Leitner, the public prosecutor's office and lawyer Hösl agreed that a conviction would not be beneficial.

The three thought it would make more sense to suspend the proceedings for the time being, but this is subject to various conditions.

The woman from Holzkirchner has to do outpatient alcohol therapy and continue the psychiatric treatment that has already started.

The woman assured her agreement: "And I want to do both."
