Xinhua quoted the country's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency as saying that the epicenter of the tremor occurred 10 kilometers southwest of Cianjur district in West Java province, at a depth of 10 kilometers underground, at 6.8398 degrees south latitude and 107.1073 degrees east longitude.
No tsunami warnings were issued.
