Online court records show the alleged gunman in the Colorado Springs, Colorado, Club Q shooting faces multiple charges of murder and hate crime.
Anderson Aldrich faces five counts of murder and five counts of hate crime causing bodily harm, according to the El Paso County Courts online docket.

Aldrich remains hospitalized for injuries sustained during the incident, and charges have not been formally filed, the Colorado Springs Police Chief told CNN on Monday.
"We are awaiting the discharge of the suspect from the hospital," Adrian Vasquez said.
Once doctors release him from the hospital, "we will take him to our criminal justice center and charges should be filed relatively soon after."
Court records show that Aldrich is not entitled to bail.
The file does not reflect whether Aldrich has retained an attorney.

Colorado enacted its hate crime law in 2021. The bill says that “a person commits a hate crime if, with the intent to intimidate or harass another person, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, due to the that person's actual or perceived race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation".
