Live broadcast from the court in Tel Aviv
The Magistrate's Court in Tel Aviv will announce this morning (Monday) the verdict in the defamation lawsuit filed by Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu and his family against former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
The two are not expected to participate in the debate, which will be broadcast live.
The lawsuit, for a total of NIS 837,000, was filed after Olmert called them "mentally ill", and said that they needed psychiatric treatment.
During the hearings, Netanyahu, his wife Sara and his son Yair, and Olmert himself testified.
When Netanyahu took the witness stand, he said that "there was a clear intention to hurt - to hurt me, to hurt my chances of being elected. The statement was intended at the same time to tarnish a public of mentally damaged people."
Sara Netanyahu claimed that the video of the shouting published in Walla was a "fake", as was the story about her hospitalization in Austria.
"The whole sentence comes across as if it's a negative label when there's a mental problem," she said.
"I don't suffer from it, but I am a therapist, as an expert psychologist, and refer to a psychiatrist sometimes and see it with compassion and understanding."

Even before the testimony phase, judge Amit Yariv tried to reach an agreement between the Netanyahu family and Olmert, but the attempt failed.
Also, during the hearings, the judge rejected Olmert's request to submit the family members to a psychiatric examination.
Also, during the summary stage, attorney Amir Titonovitz, representing Olmert, asked to apply the defense of "I spoke the truth" to the term "mentally ill", but was refused.
