Occupied Jerusalem, SANA-
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has renewed its call on the international community to take the necessary measures to provide protection for Palestinian children, and to hold the Israeli occupation authorities accountable for their crimes, stressing that international law is indivisible and must be implemented away from selectivity or double standards.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the settlers' attack on the child Yazan Al-Rajabi in the city of Hebron yesterday evening, which resulted in him being wounded in the face, noting that this attack falls within the framework of the systematic occupation policy to kill Palestinian children, deprive them of the right to life, and paralyze them. Its ability to build a promising future, whether through direct targeting or continuous random arrests, as the number of children arrested by the occupation forces since 1967 reached about 50,000 children, 160 of whom are still in occupation detention centers, and are subjected to the worst forms of repression and physical and psychological torture.
The Foreign Ministry pointed out that Defense for Children International has documented the killing of 49 children by the occupation since the beginning of this year, bringing the number of child martyrs since 2000 until now to 2,240, in addition to thousands of injured children during the continuous incursions throughout the West Bank, and the ongoing Israeli wars on The besieged Gaza Strip.
