Weilheim – It has been almost two months since the municipal office for location promotion, culture and tourism, together with the Weilheim district messenger, looked for the favorite salesperson of the citizens of Weilheim.
Now the three winners received their prizes and learned about their good performance.
A total of 238 citizens cast their votes in the campaign, reported Jutta Liebmann, head of the office for location promotion, culture and tourism.
88 employees from 53 different companies were named.
Katharina Dubgorn from Echter Mode received the most votes and received two VIP tickets for the Weilheim magic theater “Verschmittst” as a prize.
Second place and with it a shopping voucher from Daller Tracht Weilheim went to Elke Böhme from the Simader travel agency.
Third place went to Lisa Feyrer from the Rid department store, who received a voucher for the Pöltner Hof.
The joy was particularly great here, as Feyrer is still in training.
Publishing director Helmut Ernst, who was delighted with the campaign's success, also praised the winners' performance.
The three were able to assert themselves among an estimated 1,200 salespeople working in Weilheim.
Employees from a wide variety of industries were suggested by the customers - from the weekly market to medical practices,
Supermarkets and restaurants - and even from shops that didn't have any participation slips, according to Liebmann.
Anyone who wanted to name their favorite seller could do so via flyer or online.
According to Liebmann, the background to the campaign was to say “thank you” to the salespeople.
Especially in the pandemic, they would have done great things and kept their good mood.
The idea for the campaign came about during a conversation between Weilheim's second mayor Angelika Flock and Kreisboten employee Richard Hartmann.
It was further developed with the support of the Office for Location Promotion, Culture & Tourism.
As Flock said, the campaign once again showed the great range of services available in the district town.
"We can all be proud of that."
