A reviewer attested to his love mania: a 56-year-old from the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen bombarded a prominent member of the state parliament with almost 10,000 e-mails.

Wolfratshausen – In e-mails he described in detail sexual adventures with a member of the state parliament that had only sprung from his imagination.

Because he sent his erotic fantasies to politicians from the district council to the German Bundestag and various other recipients, a qualified engineer from Wackersberg (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district) had to answer for defamation against a person from political life in three cases before the Wolfratshausen district court .

There were also 14 violations of the Violence Protection Act.

The 56-year-old was sentenced to 15 months in prison on probation.

But that was fun, not meant to be taken too seriously,” explained the defendant, who appeared amused when the prosecutor quoted from the first two pornographically colored emails that the suspect wrote and sent out to the wider world on June 30, 2016 .

The injured party, Katharina Schulze, the chairwoman of the Greens parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament and the central object of the erotic fantasies, did not find the fairy tales that the man had freely invented amusing at all.

She filed a criminal complaint against Wackersberger and obtained a decision under the Violence Protection Act.

That doesn't stop the man from continuing to email her.

On December 25, 2019, another e-mail with crude pornographic descriptions landed in the politician Schulze's electronic mailbox. Again, two dozen other recipients, including many of her party friends and journalists, were able to share in the sender's fantasies.

A specialist in forensic psychiatry, who had examined the accused for his criminal responsibility, attested to Wackersberger's "narcissistic personality structure" and also found a "delusional disorder".

However, it is limited to one topic.

In this case, it was obviously "a love mania" that had degenerated into a veritable bombardment of e-mails to the prominent Green politician.

A whopping 9,978 emails were counted by Prof. Dr.

Heinz Schöch, who represented the joint plaintiff Schulze in court.

"You can't imagine what that means for a woman with great political responsibility," says Schöch.

The evaluator explained that a characteristic of a delusional disorder is: "The sufferer is not insightful at all because his delusion is limited to one topic.

In addition, these people can be completely inconspicuous.” In addition, she also sees “indications of megalomania” in the accused.

As part of an exploration, the qualified interviewing in the context of psychological diagnostics, he said: In the party that expelled him a few years ago, he still exercises an "unofficial advisory function".

Finally, the psychologist made the prognosis: "He will continue to write e-mails if he is not treated." The accused refused: "I don't need treatment because it doesn't help."

Imprisonment of one year and three months on probation

Judge Helmut Berger sentenced the qualified engineer to imprisonment for one year and three months on probation.

The prosecutor had requested three months more.

The judge at the district court in Wolfratshausen assessed the long duration of the proceedings and a reduced ability to control the accused, which cannot be ruled out, as mitigating the sentence.

As a condition, the convict must pay 1,500 euros to the association “Women help women”.

In addition, Berger ordered a ban on contact with the injured party.

"It's up to you how your freedom goes on," the judge told the convict.

The verdict is not yet legally binding.
