With the participation of 7 young men and women, the Staff Division of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in Aleppo, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture, organized this evening the National Poetry Festival, in celebration of the anniversary of the Corrective Movement, at the stage of the Cultural Center in Al-Azizia.
The first poetic readings of the young Muhannad Al-Tofi were through a poem of measured poetry entitled (The Land of the Laurel), in which he expressed his longing and longing for the town of Salqin, while Sabah Sawas read a poem for the homeland (without a title), describing Syria as the beloved, the doctor, and the honor of civilization over time.
Ahmed Bishmaf, who recited a measured poem from Al-Bahr Al-Kamil, likening the homeland to the mother, indicated that festivals enable young people to highlight the importance of national occasions in a refined literary style.
Malath Hallaq recited a poem in which she revived the memory of her martyred father, so she floated in transparent human spaces between the pain of orphanhood and separation, the pain of leaving, and the pride of martyrdom.
And Ahmed Shalash, who recited a poem entitled (Opaques), stated that the homeland, as well as poetry, has a spiritual value that is written with water of gold.
Malak Mousalli pointed out that she recited a poem entitled (My Homeland), in which she describes Syria, indicating that the festival enhances her self-confidence.
Rama Al-Ali recited a patriotic poem, in which she emphasized the importance of sacrifice for the homeland, evoking the pain of war and directing a message of reproach to the Arab countries. The poet Muhammad Farouk Turkmani had a distinguished participation, as he concluded the festival by reciting a poem about what the homeland symbolizes in the spoken dialect.
