This time, the eyes of the poets turned to green Idlib, so that the dream came true after years of exile in a literary festival that brought together a number of poets who came from different provinces to sing through their poems the love of the homeland on the liberated land of Khan Sheikhoun thanks to the sacrifices of the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army.

The poets participating in the festival, which was held by the Idlib branch of the Union of Arab Writers, glorified the heroic struggle of the Syrian Arab Army that liberated this region from the filth of terrorism, in addition to glorifying its nature, heritage, originality, and history of struggle and adherence to the return of all its regions to the motherland.

In the speech of the Union of Arab Writers, Dr. Farouk Aslim, a member of the executive office of the Union, explained the importance of the presence of poets from various provinces to Khan Sheikhoun, to express their joy at its liberation and their desire to adhere to the return of Idlib and its love as an integral part of the homeland, pointing to the role played by the Union in the history of the difficult stage With which Syria resists the conspiracies and wars it has been exposed to.


In turn, the poet Muhammad Hassan Al-Ali recited a poem addressed to Damascus, in which he expressed a great love for the homeland, in a manner in which he collected music, metaphors, and connotations that he borrowed from what he lived in, and it was reflected in the events of his text, which came in the form of a balanced topic around one idea, which is the love of the homeland, and he said:

“October, we lived with you in faith and sacrifice.. You were in us and you will remain our eternal love


. In whatever betrothed to us, you were our support.. And there is nothing but the steadfastness of the Levant of support.”

As for the poet Linda Ibrahim, who came from Tartous governorate to participate in the first cultural activity in Khan Sheikhoun after the liberation, and expresses her love for the people of this city, who described its beautiful environment, its good people, and its glorious struggle, wishing the return of its beautiful days through a poem based on the activities of the simple sea with sincere emotion, through which it expressed its expression. Her inner feelings towards this city, she said:

“I will kill her while the passion of April kills me.. To her master, the heart


will be sacrificed for her. I will kill her, and my wounds will be a song.. My joy is a rose, and the soul is a handkerchief.”

The son of the beautiful province, the poet Mujeeb al-Sousi, who expressed through his poem the great love that he carries in his heart for Idlib and Damascus, these two cities that are linked by the beauty of nature and the national struggle like the rest of the provinces. He said:

As for Damascus, she adorned herself.. she spread her charms on my


pulse.. Idlib bowed,


had it not been for the fear that it might be said that his master desires marriage, I would have said that


you are Zainab.

The Hama governorate did not hesitate to participate in expressing its joy at the liberation of Khan Sheikhoun and its wish for the return of all of its soil. It came from the poet Mustafa Samudi, head of the Hama branch of the Arab Writers Union, who expressed his love for Idlib through his poems, in addition to his great love for his homeland, choosing Damascus as a symbol. He composed a poem in which he adhered to the language and music and chose the simple sea that fits with its theme, in addition to the rhyme letter and rhyme to form the appropriate artistic structure for his sincere affection.

Oh the stature of light, how far the eraser has begun.. My soul is for your eyes, O Sham of redemption

With great eagerness for his liberated town, Maarat al-Nu`man, and with great joy for its liberation, the poet Dr. Jihad Bakfiloni expressed his pride in his belonging to this authentic town with historical meanings and a great cultural heritage, which was left behind by the philosopher of poets Abu Al-Ala' al-Ma'ari through a poem from the Long Sea that came with a narration that fits the moral value of the event, saying:

“I left here my heart to take care of you as a guard … and I know that death does not intimidate a knight


, and I said: Parting will not be long and we will meet … and you excluded me, so my concerns aroused.”

The Secretary of the Idlib Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Ahmed Najjar, expressed in his speech the importance of the poems that were recited within the festival, as they express adherence to the return of every grain of soil to the homeland and the need to restore the cultural values ​​​​that were presented throughout history, evoking some poetic texts from ancient literature, and calling for adherence to The intangible cultural heritage due to its important role in developing the national sense and adherence to originality.

The head of the Idlib branch of the Arab Writers Union, the poet and journalist Muhammad Khaled al-Khidr, who managed the festival, expressed his great joy at the liberation of Khan Sheikhoun and his visit to it after an absence of many years, through a number of poetic stanzas that he recited and which he wrote since the beginning of the terrorist war on Syria, wishing the return of all lands to Homeland and raising the flag of his homeland on the roof of his house in Jabal Al-Zawiya.
