The assailant, an individual in his twenties, attacked the victim with a razor to steal his gold necklace.
In circumstances that remain unclear at this stage of the investigation, the victim was hit in the face.
Slightly injured, she was taken care of by the fire brigade.

The assailant was quickly arrested and taken into custody.
According to concordant sources, this individual of Algerian nationality was covered by an Obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) dating from last August.
He was reportedly arrested this summer, with two accomplices, for theft and kidnapping of elderly people, in the Fabron district, south west of Nice, but released.
He would also be known for aggravated theft and pickpocketing.
