A drive by the Nuremberg police ends in an accident.

The officers ran a red light and then crashed into a car.

Now the traffic police are investigating.

Nuremberg - On Monday, November 21, 2022, the Nuremberg police became the cause of a traffic accident.

The officers drove red when their mission was stopped by a collision with another car.

At the intersection with Jägerstraße, the police officers could no longer avoid it.

The collision resulted in three people being slightly injured.

Now the traffic police are investigating.

Nuremberg police cause accident: officials have to be taken to the clinic

According to reports from the police headquarters in Central Franconia, the accident occurred with police involvement in the Nuremberg district of Röthenbach near Schweinau.

The police forces drove towards the city center at around 1 p.m., along Weißenburger Straße.

Accompanied by blue lights and a siren, their journey had to be interrupted a little later.

The 24-year-old driver of the patrol car was no longer able to avoid it and, according to the police report, there was a collision with a 23-year-old driver of an Opel Corsas at the Jägerstraße intersection.

She was driving towards Faberpark when the accident happened.

The 23-year-old and the three employees in the police car that caused the accident suffered minor injuries.

The police officers were then taken to a clinic.

According to the Central Franconian police, the accident caused property damage of around 20,000 euros.

The processing of the incident is now in the hands of the Nuremberg traffic police.
