A meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Trustees of the Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, today.

Russia Today website quoted Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who opened the meeting, as saying: “A wide range of issues will be discussed at the meeting, and the set of decisions that will be taken include both political, defense and security issues,” expressing his hope that the participants during the meeting will be able to analyze Evaluating the situation in the field of international and regional security, and in light of that, evaluating the potential risks for the member states of the organization.

The meeting will be attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

Today, this meeting will be followed by a summit meeting that brings together the heads of the member states of the organization, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrived in the Armenian capital, Yerevan.

It is noteworthy that the Collective Security Treaty Organization includes Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
