The Swedish electricity generation facility went out of service due to the stoppage of the pressure of the gas coming from the Swedish gas plant in the countryside of Al-Malikiyah city, after it was targeted by the Turkish occupation warplanes.

The Director General of the Hasakah Electricity Company, Eng. Anwar Ukla, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the amount produced by the facility was approximately 50 megawatt hours, which was feeding the city of Qamishli and its countryside, and a number of towns and cities in the northeastern countryside of the governorate, as it was relied on to secure electric current for service lines in the province. Al-Hasakah city from (official departments, hospitals, health centers, bakeries and mills) in the event that supplying the governorate with electrical quantities from Tabqa Dam stops.

Ukla pointed out that the company is currently working on assessing the damage to the electrical networks in the areas of the governorate, which were bombed by the Turkish occupation, which deliberately targets infrastructure and public facilities.
