Charlene of Monaco beams at Albert II's side on National Day.
It was only a year ago that the twins Jacques and Gabriella stood alone with their father on the balcony and held up posters for their sick mother.
The family was finally reunited.
Moncaco - The national holiday is very important in the small principality on the picturesque Côte d'Azur.
The princely family dresses up and celebrates a wonderful day with the residents of the rock state.
Charlene of Monaco (44) and Albert II (64) were particularly beaming.
They were
finally able to celebrate the holiday together this year.
But the children's eyes of the twins Jacques and Gabriella (both 7 years)
shone the most .
The twins have now survived the terrible times without their mother Charlène
No wonder: a year ago the situation looked completely uncertain.
In a touching gesture, the two little ones held up posters on the balcony of the palace.
The twins' noses just reached over the self-painted posters to see the parade in the courtyard from the balcony.
"We love you, Mommy" (in German: "We love you, Mommy") and "We miss you, Mommy" (in German: "We miss you, Mommy") was there to read.
Albert II also showed himself to be a good father in the gallery and Charlène was in a clinic "outside Monaco".
Finally the family is reunited on Monaco's national day.
Charlène and her twins were particularly beaming.
No wonder: last year the princess was absent due to illness (photomontage).

In 2021 it was the first time that the Hereditary Prince and his sister had to do without their mother.
The illness had brought a lot of suffering for both of them.
Not only did they miss their mother terribly, they were also no longer allowed to go to school because the royal family was afraid of teasing.
Father Albert had to complete a tight program without his wife and the children had to do without their parents almost entirely.
Friends expressed extreme concern about Charlene's illness
Charlène von Monaco is said to have "almost died" during her stay in South Africa of several months.
This is reported by the tabloid
portal Page Six
, citing various sources close to the princess.
She had lost a worrying amount of weight in South Africa.
Charlène from Monaco had to undergo several operations in South Africa as a result of a severe ENT infection.
In photos she looked extremely emaciated.
The friends are now revealing the reason: the ENT infection had led to severe sinus and swallowing problems in connection with a previous operation.
"She hasn't been able to eat solid food for over six months," the paper quoted the source as saying.
The report goes on to say that Charlene "could only drink liquids through a straw, so she lost almost half her body weight."
Charlene of Monaco beamed with old-fashioned extravagance
All the more radiant was the appearance of Charlène, who gradually regained her old form, who attracted everyone's attention in a tailor-made outfit that was vaguely reminiscent of a historical cassock in the Avignon papacy.
A black turtleneck sweater, the same Dior pumps, elegant pearl earrings and a silver brooch in the form of a bow completed the classic look, which looked very extravagant next to Albert and Jacques in parade uniform.
Gabriella had boldly pinned a hat to her red coat dress at an angle.

The Monegasque people should also be delighted to have their country mother happy back at the side of the prince with their children.
Again and again there are reports that question the relationship of the royal couple.
Most recently, there had been tumult because of a photo posted on Instagram of Albert's illegitimate children with their father from Albert's ex-lover.
In an interview with
Monaco-Matin
, Albert II was recently vague about his wife's state of health: she was sometimes still tired.
