A child was hit by a freight train at the train station in Moers (NRW) on Wednesday.
The child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Moers – In a tragic accident at the train station in Moers (Wesel district in North Rhine-Westphalia), a child was hit by a train on Wednesday afternoon.

Moers train station: child hit by incoming freight train
The child is said to have stood on platform 1 of the Moers train station.
An incoming freight train caught the child and tore it into the track bed, reports

According to initial findings, the accident victim suffered, among other things, head injuries.
The police have not yet given any information about the age and gender of the child, reports 24RHEIN.
Train traffic in Moers was stopped after the accident and the station was closed.
