Crailsheim beats leader Craiova in Europe Cup

The Hakro Merlins Crailsheim basketball team won the top game against SCMU Craiova and celebrated their third win in the group stage of the Europe Cup.

The Bundesliga club won on Wednesday evening in the Romanian university town of Craiova with 102:81 (49:36) and took revenge for the first leg defeat a month ago.

Best pitchers for Crailsheim, which defended its second place in the H, were Arunas Mikalauskas with 19 and Maurice Stuckey with 18 points.

Craiova/Romania - After a balanced first quarter, the Merlins played more concentrated in the second period, acted more forcefully under the basket and also recorded the better hit rate.

Another advantage was the points scored by the bench players, where the guests were clearly ahead.

Nothing changed in the final two quarters.

Especially in the final section, Crailsheim improved again.
