"The Goonies" fans, start saving: the old Victorian house featured in the legendary 1980s movie is for sale in Astoria, Oregon.

"There are several interested parties now," real estate agent Jordan Miller told the Associated Press. "It seems that everyone's intention is to open up the house more and give the public greater access," he added.

The asking price for the house, which was built in 1896 and overlooks The Columbia River that flows into the Pacific Ocean is $1.7 million on Zillow, where it is described as “full of history, nostalgia and iconic advertising.”

Ever since the movie was released in 1985, fans have been hunting for the home in northwestern Oregon, in the historic harbor area of Astoria. Celebrates "Goonies Day" on June 7, the date of the film's release, and thousands of people come to the event every year.

After the film's 30th anniversary celebrations drew about 1,500 visitors a day in 2015, the home's owner, Sandy Patterson, posted "no trespassing" signs forbidding tourists from approaching the property.

Last August she opened the house to the public again.

The adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg showcases the wild coastline of Astoria.

This landscape also starred in other films such as "Kindergarten Cop" with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

According to Miller, it seems that the potential buyers do not want to live in the house permanently, but to make it the object of their desire.

"It's such a fun purchase. Whoever buys the house will witness a continuous stream of happy people who come to fulfill their childhood dream."
