STRASBOURG - The
European Parliament approves the resolution to recognize Russia as a "state sponsor of terrorism".
The resolution, adopted by 494 votes to 58 with 44 abstentions, stresses that intentional attacks and atrocities by Russian forces, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and other gross violations of international and humanitarian law are acts of terror and war crimes .
The text passed with a large majority after the yes to some amendments to the resolution.
