While prices at the pump are soaring after the reduction in discounts, the Île-de-France region has just voted to extend aid for bioethanol.
Proposed since July 1, it was to end at the end of the year but it is finally renewed until December 2023.
In concrete terms, this flat-rate aid of 500 euros makes it possible to cover the supply and installation of an approved conversion box.
Once installed, the vehicle can run on SP95-E10 or Superethanol-E85.
These fuels promise a reduction of up to 50% in CO2 emissions and 90% in fine particles.
They contain mixtures of SP95 gasoline and bioethanol, around 10% for SP95-E10 and between 65% and 85% for E85.
They are also the cheapest on the market, at less than a euro a litre, and most petrol cars are convertible.

To benefit from the aid, the main residence must be located in Île-de-France and individuals must own their vehicle.
The region also specifies that only one aid is valid “
for a single vehicle per tax household
”.
The request must be made directly on the Ile-de-France site.
The region hopes to reach the objective of 30,000 boxes installed between July 2022 and the end of 2023. This would represent the distribution of 105 million euros in aid to Ile-de-France residents.
