The efforts to return Tiran's body: if the talks do not succeed - Israel is preparing for military action - voila! news

The security system is working to recover the kidnapped body of the Druze youth who was killed last night in an accident near Jenin. The PA conveyed a message that there is room for talks with the armed men, and asked Israel to allow it to finish the process. If the talks fail, the assumption is that the IDF is preparing for a rescue operation in the city

The security system is constantly working to recover the body of Tiran Pero, the young Israeli who was killed yesterday (Tuesday) in an accident near Jenin and was kidnapped by armed men from the hospital in the city.

At this stage, the activity focuses on two levels.

On the political level, negotiations are taking place with officials in the Palestinian Authority to bring about the return of the body of the young man from Jenin and a return to normalcy. On the military-operational level, it can be assumed that the IDF is preparing for a targeted/wide-scale rescue operation in Jenin with the aim of hitting terrorists who oppose the handing over of the body.

Sources in the defense system estimate that there is still a chance for negotiations.

PA sources conveyed a message to Israel in the last hour according to which there is still room for talks with the militants, and that they will be allowed to exhaust the process before Israel takes military steps.

In the event that negotiations fail, any military action will be based on intelligence and an operational opportunity to act.

The head of the Druze community, the Sheikh of Wafak Tarif, repeated the accusation that the kidnappers had disconnected Peru from the ventilator and abducted his body.

"The child was alive and breathing, they disconnected him from the devices, this is an act that will not be done. This is sub-level - all those who kidnapped, their names are already known."

"The armed men who kidnapped the body will bring trouble on themselves," said a senior security official earlier today.

"Beyond that, they harm the local economy in Jenin and smuggle Israeli Arabs."

The source also said that "the action carried out by the armed men greatly embarrassed the Palestinian Authority, which at night already thought that the issue had been resolved."

"This act of abducting a body from a hospital and then from the checkpoint area draws criticism from the Palestinian Authority as well, but also from sources in Europe," the source added.

"It presents the PA as lacking in governance. We estimate that Hamas has a hand in the matter. Great efforts are being made to end the incident by PA officials, the security mechanisms and the governor of Jenin and his family. At this stage there is no development."

Prime Minister Yair Lapid spoke today with Tiran's father, and then warned the gunmen who kidnapped the body.

"Israel has proven in recent months that there is no place and no terrorist that it does not know how to reach, from the Kasbah in Nablus, the refugee camp in Jenin, to arenas near and far. If Tiran's body is not returned, the kidnappers will pay a heavy price."

Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu also commented on the kidnapping of the body and called it "a scoundrel act by a savage human being. All measures must be taken to return Tiran's body to the bosom of his family."

Pero and his friend Adir Dexa, both 18 years old, members of the Druze community, 12th grade students at the Al Carmel Medal, arrived in the village of Bartaea, half of which is in Israeli territory and the other half in Palestinian territory, in order to do some shopping. After getting into a serious car accident, efforts were made to evacuate Pero to Israel , with the assistance of the head of the Dalit Al Carmel Council, Rafik Halabi, and the coordinator of government operations in the territories, Rasan Alian. Due to his serious injuries, he was treated by Palestinian medical personnel on the spot and taken to the hospital in the city of Jenin. Dexa was taken by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.

After he died of his wounds at Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, Peru's body was abducted by Palestinian gunmen, who believed he was a member of the Israeli security forces acting undercover.

An IDF spokesperson stated that "the body is expected to be returned to his family in Israel as soon as possible, as a required humanitarian measure."

Efforts are now being made to recover his body, at which point the Palestinian security mechanisms are also involved, but they are having difficulty removing the body from the hands of the armed men.

The members of the security apparatus even arrived with armored vehicles to carry out a negotiation operation, but the armed men opened fire at them in response.

A security official said that there was significant progress in the intervention of the Palestinian security mechanisms and the governor of Jenin, and that the body was about to be handed over, but was kidnapped again.
