A pure samba: this is the locker room of the Brazilian team 0:42
(CNN Spanish) -
Brazil, one of the favorites to win the World Cup, opens this Thursday against Serbia with a team full of stars, from Neymar to Vinícus Júnior.
On paper, Brazil is the absolute favourite: it is first in the official FIFA ranking, it was first and undefeated in the Conmebol World Cup qualifier (and having played one game less, along with Argentina) with 14 wins and three tied and has a luxury squad, with experienced players in the World Cup and top level in their clubs, headed by Neymar, the 29-year-old PSG striker and the second greatest player in history for the 'canarinha'.
Casemiro, Vinícius Júnior, Gabriel Jesús, Fabinho, Éder Militao and Alisson Becker are just some of an all-star squad.
Tite has a very good record leading Brazil and has the experience and tools to be champion.
He lost the Copa América final with Argentina in 2021, but the team continues to be superior to its rivals on duty and has not known defeat since then.
In the World Cup they will be in Group G with Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon, which seems to be an affordable first phase for a team of the weight and figures of Brazil.

It is the fourth time that the 'canarinha' will play a World Cup as the leader of the FIFA list, but they have not been champions in any.
Damn?
In France 1998 they lost the final against the locals, in Germany 2006 they came out in the quarterfinals and in South Africa 2010 they came out in the quarterfinals.

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, 30, faces what could be his last chance to become world champion with Brazil and add one more twist to the five-time champion.
In 119 games with Brazil, the Brazilian star has distributed 53 assists and has scored 74 goals.
Figures that so far have been insufficient to achieve glory in the two World Cups he has played, Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018.
However, the midfielder managed to win silver with Brazil in the 2012 London Olympics, with Mexico being champion and gold in Rio 2016 against Germany, scoring the decisive penalty of the shootout that was reached after finishing the match and the extra time in a tie, being the best of the match.
In addition, Neymar won the Confederations Cup in 2013 and was runner-up in the 2021 Copa América.

Vinicius Junior
With 22 years, the extreme left of the Real Madrid is another of the big figures of the 'canarinha'.
Vinícius Júnior made his debut with the senior team in 2019, so this will be his first World Cup.
With the Brazilian team he scored a goal in the South American qualifiers.
Vinícius Júnior began his professional career at Flamengo and has been playing with the Spanish team since 2018.
In his record, he already has two Spanish Cups, a European Super Cup and a top scorer title, among others.
Gabriel Jesus
The Arsenal center forward made his debut with the 'canarinha' in 2016. Since then he has played 56 games and scored 19 goals for the national team, most of them in friendly matches (10) and in World Cup qualifiers (7).
Jesús started at Palmeiras, went to Manchester City and from there to Arsenal.
Among his titles, four England Cups, one Copa América and a top scorer distinction stand out.

Possible starting lineup
Brazil has already started training for the match against Serbia, the first to play in Group G. Their next opponent will be Switzerland and the third Cameroon.
A possible line-up for the first match would be Alisson in goal, Danilo, Telles, Militão and Silva in defense, Fabinho and Fred in the center and a luxury offense with Neymar, Vinícius Jr., Raphina and Pedro or Gabriel Jesús.
Media such as Marca, however, raise the possibility that the coach leaves Vinícius on the bench in this match.
