A Palestinian from Gaza who worked in Israel without a permit planned to carry out a deadly attack on a bus in Israel - this was allowed to be published today (Thursday).

The indictment filed against him indicates that the Islamic Jihad operative taught him to make an explosive device, and he planned to do so and plant it in the bus.

The indictment also states that Hapoel, 31-year-old Fathi Zakot from Rafih, randomly met with an operative of the Gaza terrorist organization, and this suggested to him to carry out an attack in Israel.

At first he refused, but later agreed to do so.

The activist taught Zakat to make explosive devices and gave him the nickname "Abu Muhammad".

Zakot consulted with one of the activists, explained to him that he was planning to carry out an attack in an event hall or a shopping mall, and offered to detonate the bomb on the bus he was traveling to Israel.

Last month he entered Israel without a permit, and during his stay in Israel he collected electrical wires, an electricity meter, batteries and light bulbs, to prepare the luggage.

A short time later he was arrested.

The Palestinian has a background in involvement in terrorism, and during a cliffhanger he stored Islamic Jihad rockets in his home.

In 2016, he helped the organization move concrete slabs into the tunnel.

The case was inter alia investigated by the Shin Bet. The indictment charges him with the offenses of membership in a terrorist organization, training for terrorist purposes, preparation of an attack, possession of weapons, illegal stay and other counts.
