Tiran Pero, the Druze boy whose body was brought back tonight from Jenin, will be buried today (Thursday) in his settlement of Dalit al-Karmel.
The head of the council announced a day of mourning in the settlement, and from 12:00 school was suspended in preparation for the funeral that would begin at 2:00 p.m.
The 18-year-old Peru, who was injured in a car accident in Jenin, was kidnapped by Palestinian militants and held by them for about two days, during which Israel exerted great pressure on the Palestinian Authority to release him.
This morning, around 10:00, a private ambulance brought the butcher's coffin, wrapped in a white cloth, to the Beit Ha'am compound in the Yishuv.
As is customary, the coffin was placed in the building of the women's community building, and was opened to the sound of heartbroken cries from the relatives who saw the body for the first time.
The men then marched to the men's public house, and the open coffin remained in the women's public house and will remain there until close to the time of the funeral, when it will be taken to the men's public house.

"We thank all the parties who worked to return the body of the Tiran boy to the family," said Sheik Moafek Triff, the spiritual leader of the Druze community in Israel.
"The elements of the IDF and the security establishment, the Palestinian Authority and its security mechanisms and many other factors that intervened and brought about the resolution of the issue after a day and a half were nerve-wracking for the family and the entire community.
" Precisely on his 18th birthday.
On behalf of all members of the Druze community, we appreciate the general identification that was with the family in the human issue."
