Arizona police are looking for a "dangerous" man who "shot his wife in cold blood right in front of a child"

The Pinal County sheriff said 32-year-old Isael Ortega Hernandez fled his home in Stanfield after killing his partner. "Hernández must be considered armed and dangerous," he warned.


Arizona authorities said they are looking for a Latino man suspected of shooting and killing his wife in front of a girl.

fled on foot out the back door of a home on Padilla Road near Stanfield around 9 p.m. Monday (local time) after shooting his wife, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb said in the Twitter social network.

His cell phone was recovered in the area.

"Hernández should be considered armed and dangerous,"

the sheriff's office warned, adding that the suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt and pants.

The man, police said, is between 5 feet-5 inches and 5 feet-7 inches and has a slight build.

A child was the one who alerted authorities to the crime, according to the sheriff's office.

The minor called 911 saying that a member of his family was dying and that the victim's husband had shot him.

Julieta Marin Amador, 30 years old

Authorities deployed dogs and a helicopter to search for Hernandez, the sheriff said. 

“This jerk shot his wife in cold blood right in front of a kid,” Lamb said, in a video.

"We are looking for it."

Police asked the public to help with any information on Hernandez's whereabouts and to call 911 or the Pinal County Sheriff's Office with any leads.
