Eching's municipal council has said goodbye to Stefanie Malenke (SPD): Malenke has been a member of the committee since 2014.

Her successor is called Vincent Blank.

Eching –

Stefanie Malenke (52) not only acted as a council member, she has also been the second mayor since 2020.

In December 2021, however, she resigned from this post for health reasons.

Now the woman from Günzenhausen has also given up her seat on the municipal council to Vincent Blank (24).

After careful consideration, Malenke decided to retreat into private life

“Tonight is a day of great gratitude.

I took a lot with me from almost a decade of good and difficult times.” With these words, Malenke, who had already taken a seat in the audience on Tuesday, said goodbye to her council colleagues.

The 52-year-old had hoped to be able to continue her political commitment after surviving cancer therapy, but after careful consideration decided to retreat into private life.

City hall chief Sebastian Thaler and spokesman for the parliamentary groups expressed their great appreciation: "It is very unfortunate, but personally I have a lot of understanding for your decision.

You were and are very much appreciated in the municipal council and the population - also for your open ear and the catering in long council meetings.

All the best for you”, he turned to Malenke.

"It's a real loss.

This level of empathy cannot be replaced,” emphasized Herbert Hahner (SPD).

Manfred Wutz (BfE) emphasized: "You brought in a lot of humanity." Heinz Müller-Saala (FDP) got to know and appreciate the colleague as "impeccable, friendly and good".

Like everyone present, Georg Bartl (CSU) wished the outgoing councilor good health and “the very best” for the future.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Vincent Blank was sworn in as her successor.

The 24-year-old was born in Dietersheim.

His political priorities include transport development, economic development and the modernization of administration.

Blank was appointed a member of the main committee and a representative in meetings of the waste water association.

The administrative inspector in the Freising district office is active in several associations, such as the FFW Dietersheim and the BRK rescue service in Eching.
