Christmas markets in the Weilheim-Schongau district: All dates at a glance

Slowly but surely, a pre-Christmas mood is spreading in the district.
If you haven't felt anything yet, you can change that next weekend: That's when the Advent and Christmas markets start in many places in the region.
District – The historic old town in
Schongau
will be transformed into a pre-Christmas backdrop from December 1st to 11th.
The Christmas market with the festively decorated stands is open from Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. and on weekends from 12 p.m., and ends at 9 p.m.
With culinary delicacies and contemplative music, the Advent season can be enjoyed to the fullest.
The opening of the Christmas market in
Weilheim
is also on December 1st.
Everything a Christmas heart desires is on offer at Marienplatz and Reinhard-Schmid-Platz until December 4th.
Nativity figures and wooden art as well as gold and silver jewelery can be admired at the festively decorated Christmas huts.
Of course, delicacies such as roasted almonds or fruit bread also take care of your physical well-being.
A daily changing program with music, handicrafts, readings and magic ensures the best possible Christmas atmosphere.
The 20 square meter nativity scene in the parish church also invites you to visit.
The Christmas market is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on the last day of the market from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Santa Claus is expected at the Christmas market in Peißenberg
After two years of Corona abstinence, a real Christmas market is finally taking place
in
Penzberg again this year.
Namely on Saturday, November 26, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The approximately 60 stalls are spread across Stadtplatz, Bahnhofstrasse and Rathausplatz.
As always, a wide variety of culinary delicacies, Christmas arrangements and wreaths as well as gifts will be on offer.
The highlight for the little market visitors is probably the "living crib" in front of the church.
In
Peißenberg
, on Sunday, November 27, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., the traditional Christmas market of the clubs will take place at the Tiefstollen.
In addition to food and drinks, musical performances and handicrafts await visitors.
Santa Claus will also do the honors and visit the market, he is expected around 5 p.m.

The Hohenpeissenberg
Kindergarten Promotion
Association and other associations are organizing this year's Christmas market in the schoolyard on Saturday, November 26th, from 2 p.m.
In addition to various handicrafts, free carriage rides are also offered.
The net proceeds of the market should benefit the association and thus all kindergarten children in Hohenpeissenberg.
The association "Friends of the Pilgrimage Church" also invites you to the Christmas market in the treasury of the pilgrimage church

It is open on November 25 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., on November 26 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on November 27 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Peitingen kindergartens and clubs offer visitors all kinds of gift ideas and pre-Christmas delicacies.
Santa Claus has also announced his arrival and will bring small gifts for the children present later on Saturday afternoon.

The traditional Christmas market takes place in the Diakonie
Herzogsägmühle
from November 25th to 27th.
The Christmas market opens on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Deckerhalle on the village square.
The sale then begins at many different stalls in the village center.
The Christmas market is open on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
At the Nikolausmarkt in
Steingaden
on Sunday, December 4th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., a large number of traders will be offering their goods on the market square and in Welfenstraße.
And of course the namesake should not be missing either: Saint Nicholas will move in in a horse-drawn carriage in the afternoon and hand out small gifts to the children.
After the pandemic break: Christmas market in Prem will take place again as usual

you can get in the mood for Christmas on Saturday, November 26th from 3 p.m.
The market on the main square comes up with Christmas decorations, creative handicrafts, Christmas specialties as well as a "living crib" and music program.
After a two-year break, the Christmas market in
Prem
is taking place again this year in the usual setting.
The stands at the Premer town hall building open to visitors on Saturday, November 26, from 6 p.m.
"We are happy that we can get together again and celebrate together," said Mayor Andreas Echtler.

Polling
, the Advent market will take place on November 27th at the church square.
Starts at 9:30 a.m., ends at 5:30 p.m.
In between, a colorful program awaits visitors, including alphorn players and a visit from St. Nicholas.
Proceeds from the Sindelsdorf Advent market go to social projects
The traditional Christmas market at the town hall in
Oberhausen
with various stalls and a wide range of Christmas goods will open on Saturday, November 26 at 3 p.m.
At around 4 p.m. Santa Claus hands out little things to the children.
Musical accompaniment, mulled wine and numerous delicacies will be provided.
The proceeds from the market are donated to social causes.
On the first Saturday of Advent, November 26th, the Advent market takes place in the vicarage in

Pähl/Fischen
invites you to the traditional Advent market on the first Sunday of Advent, November 27th, from 10.30 am.
Around the parish and community center, in addition to various delicacies such as Kiacherl or Schupfnudeln, visitors can also expect an extensive selection of handmade wooden goods as well as handicrafts made of felt and fabric.
The Advent market opens at 10:30 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m.
Christmas market at Gut Aiderbichl with ox, donkey and sheep

, the village associations invite you to the magic hut on the four Advent weekends for food and drink.
The events take place in the fire brigade and the traditional costumes centre, the specific times for each day can be found in the events calendar on the municipality's website.

of Iffeldorf
is holding its Christmas market on Sunday, November 27th.
The event will take place on St. Vitus Square.
At the same time as the "pre-Christmas" in Altenstadt: exhibition with 20 local artists
Advent atmosphere will arise in
